White Plains, New York (Tuesday, October 12, 2021) — Safe Flight Instrument, LLC of White Plains, NY announced today that AutoPower® Automatic Throttle System (ATS), will be standard on the Bombardier Challenger 3500 aircraft. The system was selected in part based on Safe Flight’s proven experience in developing and delivering over 10,000 automatic throttle systems.

Initial production deliveries and entry into service is expected by the second half of 2022.

Safe Flight AutoPower® Automatic Throttle System on the Challenger 3500 aircraft greatly extends the capability of the Flight Guidance and Automatic Flight Control systems, providing more accurate, responsive, and dependable speed and thrust management from Takeoff to Touchdown reducing crew workload, enhancing flight safety, situational awareness, and efficiency in challenging conditions. The AutoPower® ATS achieves this through seamless integration with the PFD/MFD’s envelope protection, its ability to use planned VNAV/Speed profiles from the FMS, and continued system availability in single-engine operation or other emergency situations.
